Side-Assistant Pro is built with a privacy-first architecture. We never see your data. We never track you. Everything stays on your machine.

1. Collection & Use

We believe in minimal data collection. We only process what you explicitly tell us to:

Selected Text: Snippets you choose to save.
Tab Metadata: URL and Title of the page you are researching.

2. Local Storage

Your data belongs to you. All notes and metadata are stored locally in your browser's protected storage. There is no cloud sync, and no data is ever transmitted to external servers.

3. Zero Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. Period. There are no tracking scripts, no ads, and no hidden telemetry in our code.

4. Permissions Policy

Our permissions are narrowly scoped to enable core functionality:

sidePanel: To provide a native research workspace.
storage: To persist your notes between sessions.
contextMenus: To allow one-click text clipping.
tabs: To automatically track where your ideas came from.
